The Bottesford Bar as it was in its prime, with a tour of photos taken in about 2000 - shortly after refurbishment. It existed in this state until about 2005. Firstly, a look at the bar itself complete with optics, tilling system and price list all under the mighty 'Bottesford' sign...
A close look at our tilling system - an ancient 286 laptop running a purpose written 'C' application containing everyones tab & drinks prices. A joy to operate when drunk - not!
The bar itself with drip tray and ice box. It was built in 1999 by Mat and rests upon our creeky wooden floor...
The carpet was removed in favour a easy clean wooden floors but it did mean it was creeky as hell!
The more technical side of the bar showing off our lighting and sound system. Most of this equipment remains in service today...
A view of the ceiling which was a tangle of wiring and our make-shift air conditioning system - consisting of two drain pipes connected to a pair of powerful fans sucking air in from outside...
A view of the corner towards the door with some more lighting & sound equipment. Also, there's our very useful 'Door' light which lit up everytime someone rang the front door bell - essential when the music was loud...
A Smirnoff vodka poster that adorned the wall of the bar. It was 'borrowed' from one of the hall bars in Nottingham University...
