Welcome to The Diary - a log of the beginnings of The Bottesford Bar from late 1998 to late 2001. This section of the site is taken directly from our old website that ran from 2001 to early 2005 and has only had minor changes since then in order to make things work correctly- no photos or text have been changed (well except this introduction!)
Below, you'll find a timeline showing our events with links to every month from October 1998 to September 2001. Simply click on the event or month to get started!
You'll find little icons next to events that indicate what type of 'media' is available. This key tells you how these work:
- photos are available- these are 'thumbnailed' photographs so click on them to get bigger view.
- this indicates a Winamp generated music playlist is available. You can see a complete list of the music we played on a particular night if you really want to!
- indicates one or more sound files are available for download. These are all in mp3 format and can be played in Winamp.
- indicates a film is available for download. We never actually got around to making any for the time this section was running.
Bar Tradition- means there's detail on a 'tradition' we've had and is not specific to the month it is placed in.

The Bar Diary stops here due to a number of reasons... Firstly there are very few photos taken for this period (we got lazy!). Secondly the Bar went through a very quiet period as so many of us were not in Nottingham (and instead were at university). The Bar was 'reborn' in 2003 with the first of our all night parties which can be found in the Gallery section of the main website. It seemed fitting for the 'all new' Bar to not form be part of this 'old' diary... |
